If you are engaged in Early Childhood Education I can thoughly recommend Zappolina. She is the Magical, storytelling magician.All her entertainment is based on supporting the curriculum, core values like friendship, kindness, gentle hands.

Since I have begun contracting it has enabled me to look out for fun and interesting things to spend my time doing. My son and I first met Zappolina at the Tram musuem when we visited the Kapati coast. He was spellbound for 40 minutes. So I approached her to ask if she were interested in visiting the Hawkes Bay. One thing led to a flurry of emails and the next thing we knew she was heading the HB for a four day tour of the Kindies.

She Rocked!!!

On the Monday night she came round to our house for dinner. Again my son would not/ could not take his eyes off her. “Excuse me,” he said very politely after dinner was done. “Could you do some magic for me?”

So she did. I too was amazed. But don’t tell anyone, I was trying to act all cool.

At three or four boys go through a phase of wanting tro marry their mum’s. I’m told its a developmental phase and I shouldn’t be worried…

Well, I’m not. He’s skipped right over that one and is wanting marry Zappolina.

Apparently, I am now ‘Magic Dad’ because I have magical friends. In the eyes of my son my status has been raised a little. Thanks Zappolina. Come back any time.

Zappolina Magicadabra made it home to Zappoland safely!!

Zappolina Magicadabra made it home to Zappoland safely!! Another 2 great shows today in Hastings, then a big drive in the magic car home. Zappolina and Bubbles the magic Rabbit sang songs all the way!! What great fun!!! Now time to get ready for the next adventure!!! Hugs and sunshine XX

Day 3 of the Rainbow Magic Shows for Zappolina

Zappolina had another 2 spectacular shows today for Bright Futures in Waipukurau and at Harold Mayo Kindy in Hastings.  The shows were full of music and dancing today as Zappolina did some amazing Rainbow Magic.  Her favourite trick featured the song 'Imaginary Friends' where Zappolina and the children at Bright Futures used kindness and the Magic Words 'Wibbly Wobbly'  to turn the imaginary characters in the song into real TOYS!  Wow!!

At Harold Mayo Kindy, Zappolina had great fun making rainbow magic and talking to the children about eating rainbow coloured foods to make your body strong.  The children had their best dancing feet on and jumped nice and high during the 'Rabbit Hoedown'!

Myrtle the Magic Car seems to be achieving celebrity status with lots of people waving and smiling at her - AND Bubbles the magical Rabbit has had a great time meeting all the lovely children!!!!

2 more shows in Hastings tomorrow before Zappolina, Bubbles and Myrtle the Magic Car fly home to Zappoland!!

Day 2 of the Rainbow Magic Shows for Zappolina

Zappolina performed 2 amazing shows in Hastings today - one at Raureka Kindy followed by one at Mahora Kindy!
There was lots of smiles and laughter as Zappolina continued to sneeze up all sorts of things and Bubbles got lots of pats and cuddles! The children were all really amazed to see that by using kind thoughts and the magic words 'Wibbly Wobbly' they could make magic happen right before their eyes!

Well done Zappolina, hope you have a nice rest.

Zappolina arrives in Hastings for the Magic Rainbow Shows

Hello all,
Zappolina and Bubbles the magic Rabbit arrived safely in Hastings in their magic car Myrtle on Sunday and had 3 great magic rainbow shows today. Zappolina reported that she woke up this morning with a cold and has been sneezing up all sorts of things like, bananas, watermelon, donuts.... Oh dear! hope Zappolina gets better soon.
We hope you have a restful and a lovely evening tonight... all charged up for your shows tomorrow.

Karapoti Mountain Bike Event - Upper Hutt, Wellington

Hello all,

Well Monique and I along with our two rabbits drove down on Friday 5th March to Wellington.
Was a lovely drive and was great to catch up with family and spend time with them, and eat mum's yummy cooking.

On Saturday morning, Heidi flew down for the gig as she was working on friday and we picked her up at 8am from Wellington Airport then made our way to the Karapoti Park for the largest mountain biking event in Australasia.

There were a lot of people at the event who were all excited to get the races underway. The weather started off with a little rain but it improved as the day went on. There were lots of families who had come to support.

We set up our stage and kicked off the entertainment around 12pm, singing around 53 songs over 4 hours and had a lot of great feedback on how well balanced our vocals were and how tight we sounded. We had songs from all different genres.... please checkout the Repertoire page for the set list!!

Thank you too all our supporters including family for your support, encouragement and feedback.

Finally we drove back to Auckland on the 7th March, another great drive and it only took 7.5 hours.

We are looking forward to the next event.
